An Uncommon History of Common Things was made for people like me who try to think of new inventions on a daily basis. The book details little known customs and inventions throughout history on a variety of subjects. At the very least you will learn some interesting facts that you can throw into a lull in any conversation! Seriously, I think this would be a great Christmas gift and will be getting it for more than one person this year.
