Got to get back to the basics this summer with the Sperry Top-Sider Women's Authentic Original 2-Eye Boat Shoe ($75). Who remembers in elementary school cork screwing the laces on the sides?

I went to my friend's baby shower today, and as always, the gifts were adorable. I wish I had known about this cute little gift beforehand because I definitely would have gotten it. These bloomers even come arranged in a flower box. Too cute.

Baby Aspen Bunch O' Bloomers ($25):

Jonathan Adler's warehouse sale in Bushwick begins today, running from May 20-22. There's free parking so you can drive and really load up. I went last year and scored a lot of bowls, glasses, frames, and ornaments. And also managed to spend a lot of time drooling over the awesome arm chairs. Get the details here.
So bummed this Simrin sale started yesterday on One Kings Lane and many of the pretty items are already sold out. Alas, that's what I get for being backed up in my email. There are still some awesome items left, here are a few:

Tall & Thin Rectangular Botanical Tray ($35):

Set of 4 Swallow Placemats ($22):

Set of 4 Tasteful Placemats ($29):

Love this strapless print maxi dress from the Gap ($98). Use their current special to buy this - $20 off your purchase of $80 or more, enter code GAP2080 at checkout (offer ends 5/22).

Also Gap is currently running a program called 'Let it Go' where you can bring in clothes to any Gap store and they will donate them to Goodwill. In return you will get 30% off your Gap purchases (35% off if you use your Gap, Banana or Old Navy card), ends 5/29. Find a store now.
Love this creation and need it immediately for both my home and office. It's the Eggflat ($51) sold on beehive co-op. Could really use this clever organizer to help corral the random items that live on my countertops. What a great way to make my mess look like it was on purpose.

Just the shot of this Hemant & Nandita Spetrum Caftan on anthropologie.com gets me dreaming of my next vacation. It's convenient that anything goes in Brooklyn, though I would much rather be rocking this in some mysterious tropical destination.

Get your Calypso fix for a bargain at Target with Calypso St Barth for Target line.

Love the print dress in turquoise ($36.99):

Tie-Dye Maxi Dress in Pink ($39.99)

Sleeveless Dress with Beading in Khaki ($42.99):

And not shockingly, but to my dismay, the gold and silver poufs are all sold out :( My biggest complaint about these special limited edition designer items is that they are so limited the items that you want are never in stock! Make more please!

I love these thank you cards on Mulberry and Moss that come with matching dark eggplant envelopes ($14 for 8).

How did it take me so long to find this book? This one actually came from my husband, who was painfully embarassed to buy it from the young adult section (something I have no qualms with).

It takes place in the future, where North America has become a place called Panem, run by a city called Capitol. Capitol folks control the outlying districts, and every year they select two kids from each district to fight to the death on live TV.

I'm halfway through the first book of the trilogy and addicted!

(The actress in Winter Bones is to star in the movie adaptation - love it even more)
Since we are currently renting, I love anything that I can change about the apt without damaging it. So it goes without saying that I love these Mibo Tile Tattoos on 2Jane.
