TV and Movies: The New Melrose Place

I've only watched the premiere of Melrose Place so far, and the verdict is still out for me. I hear it gets better with each episode so I'm intrigued and maybe will add it to my dvr list. I must say that I apprehensive of the come-back shows as it seems hard to live up to the originals (ie Knight Rider), but I have to admit that I'm addicted to the new 90210. Not sure that says much about me - but I'm willing to admit it!

Animal Felt Pillow-Making

I love this idea for a kid's room, ok so maybe I do need to make room for a sewing machine! I have lots of child gifts to give and this may be the perfect solution.

TV and Movies: Modern Family

Watched the premiere episode of ABC's new Modern Family show. Very reminiscent of Arrested Development, which I so miss. It doesn't meet the crazy quirkiness of Arrested Development, but it's funnier than a lot of stuff out there and definitely has potential (Al Bundy - what?).

Bring on the Arrested Development movie!

Party Strands

For my wedding, I became obsessed with the outdoor lighting situation. I searched high and low and ended up buying these lights. They were great, they came fast, I ended up having to place too orders because I was nervous and wanted extra. Sadly it rained and we had to move the wedding indoors.. though that didn't stop me from stringing the lights inside.

Sea Food

I bought sets of these sea-inspired plates as gifts and they went over very well. They sell in sets of dinner plates, side plates, and coasters and would be perfect for outdoor entertaining. My personal favorite is the puffer fish.

TV and Movies: (500) Days of Summer

Very cute backwards love story between Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Summer (Zooey Deschanel). Gotta love Zooey (baby it's cold outside) in her always hip awesomeness, and don't mind if I do say that Joseph has aged rather well. Definitely worth seeing with the ladies.

Book Review: Beautiful Lies

Read this book, Beautiful Lies, while sitting on the beach in Hawaii, and it was perfect for such an occasion. The fast pace held my attention and I finished it in just a couple of days. A perfect beach read.
